Copywriter & Content Manager
It started with scribbles. It evolved with an English degree. Today, I write content and copy that inspires.
A pitching story
adapt
verb
UK /əˈdæpt/ US /əˈdæpt/
to change, or to change something, to suit different conditions or uses.
Romania, 1989. The streets are flaming, the people are free. Communism has fallen. Two years later, a girl is born, and she is lucky. Lucky to come to life in a country that is, once again, alive.
She is joy. She is love. Everywhere she goes, she spreads positivity like butter on warm toast. She’s only four years old, but she’s friends with all her neighbors, of all ages.
People are her passion. Languages, her second skin. Water, her favorite place. She gets lost and found in books, films and music.
She loves school, although she’s pretty scared of some of the mean teachers conditioned by the dictatorship. But it’s all she knows, so she adapts. Fast, fearlessly, unquestionably - she adapts.
Deep down, she knows she also has the power to create, to question. Every day, she waits for her mother to come home so she can read out loud the essays her teacher praised her for. Or poems, or stories.
The hot, sunny day comes when her mother tells her they are moving to a new country. New husband, new country. She’s 17 and devastated. The sun is shining, but it’s freezing cold. She doesn’t have a choice, so she adapts.
Sweden, 2023. The girl is a young woman now. A woman who believes that if life had a meaning, it would be to always grow. To accept what is, while always striving to be better. A woman who studied the English language in-depth because it fascinates her. A woman who also studied management, because she likes to be challenged.
A woman who breathes empathy and ambition. Always curious and always collaborating. Whose career path has been multidimensional, which many might see as a weakness. She finally understands that it is in fact, her strength. To learn from different fields, and develop her mind the same way a tree grows all its branches.
To see the world from all angles allows you to really speak to it. Writing for a living is a dream of hers because it's one of her gifts that she wants to pay forward.
She feels the same about acting, which she pursues in her free time. Training as an actor is another advantage for her as a writer - it gives her a deeper understanding of people. It gives her perspective.
A writer is true to herself. A copywriter needs to be true to her own voice as much as she needs to adapt. Being who I am allows me to adapt words against great ideas, so the audience can feel an impact. So that they feel.
It’s truly amazing how powerful words can be. I know I have plenty to learn - that never stops. I also know I have plenty to offer. I'm hungry and more than ready - to contribute, collaborate and create.
When I don't fiddle with words & content, you'll find me reading, cooking, and taking photos of everyday life and nature - like the ones you see to the right. Sometimes I'm by the sea or deep in the forest. Going to the cinema is my favorite way to escape, and I love to dance.
